My vrou, 'n rooinek, vra my wat beteken "rokkel".

As daar 'n vertaling in Ingels is, sal die woord min of meer moet beteken to force someone to yield begrudgingly. Shocked!

Extort?

I am not aware of the woord "rokkel": "afrokkel" yes: meaning to take away from....usually in a somewhat nefarious manner

Volgens my woordeboek: to coax away, to wheedle away.

Klink omtrent reg. Dink byvoorbeeld aan "sommer," soos in "I'll sommer bliksem you."  Grin
