When I was in England one of my stays was close to and old churches that had the best sound bells, It really felt like an event when the went off.

Must say the new churches don't do that anymore think the tradition is going away. There is very few things in life that can get me annoyed,
church bells certainly will never bother me.

I'm usually asleep on sunday morning and none are close enough to wake me. You do hear them sometimes, but it's background noise, barely registers on the 'ol noggin.

A few years ago there was a guy who took the local church (NG Kerk nogal) to court about the bells disturbing his sleep. He claimed to be a shift worker and he won the case.

No, Allah and Mohammed are the deaf ones so their praises must be shouted... Roll Eyes

Were they sporting the small battery of different sounding bells? Those chimes are cool, and compared to the usual monotonous dong-dong-dong, they are very a-pealin'.
