Oh dear, my entire world just came crashing down.  I always believed that my obsession with privacy was due to the fact that I am a Scorpio - the kind who plants mines on the lawn - which would account for my little rant about social media elsewhere.

I just heard I am in fact a Libra. http://www.bbc.co.uk/guides/zp4fvcw

That will teach me a lesson.  If only I'd follow social media, my life would have been ruined a month ago.

The astrologers have a ready answer for this: the ancient positions still count. Simple as that. :-)

Perhaps astrology should be added to the curriculum for decolonized science, along with the following subjects:

That's the beauty of woo, cognitive dissonance causes no discomfort: The positions of heavenly bodies determines your destiny except that their actual positions don't matter much.

So ...  WHO am I?  My entire identity has just collapsed  Evil

Libra Traits: Kind, gentle and lovers of beauty, harmony and peace. They find it difficult to say 'NO' to anyone, and as a result, they end up getting stressed. Libras like to be around other people, they are all about partnerships and groups. They are happiest when other people are around and when other people are doing their work. They are lazy but like posh surrounding and nice decor.  They can be independent, they have the intelligence and the full capability within but would rather co-exist/depend on others.

Scorpio traits:  Loves a good fight, and can give 'intensity' a run for its money.  Scorpions are strong, commanding, intense, passionate and zealous. Driven, dedicated and loyal, they also are ambitious and security-loving. Scorpios are fiercely independent.  They are not social butterflies like some other zodiac signs and some actually prefer to live on their own that way there is never any issue of who controls what at home, they like to be in control.

Holy Moo, I think I just found a way to make money.  Do you guys have any idea how many astrologers sell horoscopes on the internet?  I can even think of a new angle to give me a competitive edge.

Last time I checked (and that was a good two decades ago) they claimed that it's not the position of the heavenly bodies as such. I.e. the heavenly bodies don't play a causal role; it's just a correlation. The ancients discovered this correlation. Since then, the position of the bodies has precessed so modern horoscopes have to take this into account by pretending it's still 3000 years ago. Or something.

I don't think even a wolf under the full moon has that much woo in him.

Just when you think that the human race is great, look at all the clever things we came up with, there is this.

The TRAPPIST news has re-opened old wounds  Grin

I went exploring to see what happened to Sitchin and I came across this (if you have the time and inclination: http://www.revolutionof2012.net/nibiruthe12thplanet.html.  I cannot resist cherry picking to pique your interest:

"In the 1980's astronomers were searching for an additional planet in our solar system, one that explained the perturbations of our outer planets, Uranus and Neptune. (Check out the news items) The planet was discovered, but since then we have heard nothing more about Planet X. Why has the discovery not been publicised since then?"

"Perhaps Nibiru is not a planet at all, but a small system consisting of a Brown Dwarf Star and a small accompanying planet. Brown dwarfs were, until recently, only theoretical planet/star hybrids ...... The sensational aspect of all this is when one starts to consider this world as a very dim star, rather than a planet. The implication is that we are in a binary star system!
