That looks like Hangklip near Rooi-Els.

ETA: That Cape weather seems pleasant for this time of the year; trust you took the bikes for a spin? Cool

Yup, taken from outside the Drummond Arms...no bikes at this time of year, though, it's too cold.

The Springbok Flats http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springbok_Flats noted for it's lack of landmarks. Close to the town of Roedtan, Limpopo.(Another not-bucket list town). Here the road is straight but the N4 extension through Botswana (also a long straight line on the map) has got a kink in it every few kilometres. That is better, you do not see this endless road stretching in front of you.

Low quality, picture taken at night. Is this the plane coming out of the Pentagon? Remember, it allegedly never hit the building. Roll Eyes

Just be careful on that highway, especially at night. Pedestrians get killed all the time because they walk around on the highway in the dead of night. Radio said one got taken out this morning and I know personally of another of the same very recently. It's a mess to deal with, and a sad, sad thing. Why the council doesn't erect a huge barrier around Johan le Roux road is a mystery, there is a great foot-bridge which of-course goes unused. I've seen way too many body bags being ferried away from that spot, and it's not just the pedestrians who get hurt.

Out of Graaf Reinete on the road to Jansenville. It must have a descriptive name. Anybody what it could be?

Yesterday I found myself traveling on the R62 in the Eastern Cape and turned right onto the R339 towards Uniondale. What a pleasant surprise! If you ever find yourself in that area it is worth a small detour. Similar to the pass at De Rust but shorter and not as spectacular, but worth it.
