It has been proven that Nostradamus's work has been tamered with after the fact and the rubbish penned by this raving lunatic is nothing more than coincidence. The "predictions" have also been made to fit certain events.

I agree, the ad hominem doesn't detract from the fact that the scientific process is going to try and provide better explanations for phenomena that are currently classed as mysterious.
