Dennis Markuze aka David Mabus
There's a man online known as David Mabus. He's a bit of a nutter. While no one has ever really discerned what he's trying to say with his posts, the best guess at his meaning is that Nostradamus predicted Depeche Mode and through them the 9/11 terror attacks. This somehow (he's never elaborated that I can see) entitles him to the 1 million USD James Randi education foundation prize.

Interesting.  Why is it that xtians fear death to such an extent that they feel it prudent to attempt to threaten others with it?  I have absolutely no fear of death, been near it a couple times in my life, and although I dont want to die, I certainly am not bothered by the prospect of it. In fact, sometimes when life gets a bit unpolished around me, I would welcome the "poof" and then "nothing" prospect that it brings.

What are everybody else's thoughts on this?

The honest answer is: he is right. We have no answer to death. We have no idea what will happen after we die. For all we know, there might be a heave. But we cannot prove or disprove it either way. The fact is, xtians have a big problem with admitting that we don't know everything. I do not have that same problem. I am comfortable with not knowing what will happen to me after I die, if anything.

I'm with you. I heard someone put it this way - the millenia of non-existence you experienced before you were born weren't so bad, why fuss about the millenia of non-existence after you die?

But maybe that is easy to say when you are not staring death in the face.

I've seen several deceased people, and I assure you, they just lay there.

This site seems to have the answer to that question.

Personally, I don't think happens. We become worm food. That's it. There is no evidence of a soul/spirit/energy "living" on when we die. Circle of life and all that.....

Oh dear no. I just want my rest: a long dreamless sleep. I'd be so annoyed if this well deserved passivity was interrupted by harp music, flames or coming back as a microbe.
