Mars email
in my inbox today...
Skepticdetective sums it up quite nicely here:
No, Mars will not appear the size of the full moon on 27th August!
Seems that Mars is also the cause for the recent lunar eclipse, according to the incompetent journalists at DistrictMail:

This one comes around every year August time. It started a few years ago when Mars was at its closest to the Earth. It was however still very far away - just a pinprick in the sky. I guess like most good lies it contains a grain of truth.
