And yet another view:

General conclusion seems to be that one can remain healthy on a vegan diet, if you supplement with vitamin B12. However, chances are that, unless you watch carefully what you eat, you are going to end up with deficiencies.

With growing children it is particularly problematic. Can't really be done, I suspect, unless the parent is an expert in nutrition.

YouTube suggested I watch this:

The NWO DIEt - The First Ever Anti-Vegan Documentary (2017):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_CXwa-_5Uk&t=1082s

Alas, it does meat eaters no favors. It's been a while since I have seen such a bizarre hodgepodge of incoherence, pseudoscience, religion and conspiracy theory.

It appears there are foam-at-the-mouth fanatics on both sides of the debate. Looking at the guy's other videos, it is clear that he is completely obsessed with vegans and proving them wrong. YouTube sure is a weird, wild and wonderful place. :-)

Hey, I have a novel suggestion: leave people to eat whatever the freck they like, and let Darwin sort it out. Cheesy

Speaking of Joe Rogan..... Is our meaty diet part of the very thing that makes us human?

Haven't watched the video yet (I'm listening to music, and the video will interfere), but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the ability to cook food, and particularly a meaty diet, enabled us to get more nutrients out of food, which in turn enabled the energy-hungry large brain to evolve. If this is so, perhaps veganism makes you stupid, which makes you less likely to eat meat, which makes you even stupider, etc. Cheesy
