A group of Brazilians  (how much is a brazilion anyway?) have decided that USB is evil because it's logo is clearly a trident.

And the devil has a trident.

Case closed.

Nope, but there's plenty of faith.

Charity begins at home.  Evil

I often have to remind my S/O (bless his good heart) of this.

Anyone remember in the 1970's, when the fundamentalist Xtians were trying to ban rock music, they said that if you played the record (Vinyl records were the only option those days apart from magnetic tape.) backwards, Satan would be heard sending messages? Since then I have looked for a backwards playing record player but it seems as if Satan missed a good business opportunity manufacturing them. I wonder if you can play an MP3 backwards?

Then there was the barcode symbol which was supposed to represent 666. I wonder if all those Xtians that refused to buy the products starved to death?

Then the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the 1980's had to have their names changed to the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles because Ninjas were evil. I notice that the turtles have made a comeback these days with their original name intact. So much for the sustainability of Xtian claims.

For a while we also had news reports of Jesus' image being found everywhere on things like burnt toast and soiled washing (I wonder why none were found on used toilet paper?). The best one I saw was a sceptics photo of his Golden Retrievers bum. The fur lay and colouring around it and on the legs made an image of a person in robes with long hair and the nought as the face!

Now we have the USB symbol. Shame, they'll have to store their info on vinyl records.

This reminds me of a picture I saw some years ago in a high-end HiFi magazine.  This was in the days before computerised publishing.  The photo showed a front view of a turntable with its tone arm on the left hand side.  The page compositor had obviously pasted the photo’s negative in back-to-front.

On a related, uhm, note, see here.

There’s no technical reason why this couldn’t be achieved.  Just decode/decompress the MP3’s data stream and play the samples in reverse temporal order.  Of course, you’d need special player software to do this.  Another option is to use an audio editing suite like Audacity to reverse the MP3.

My dogs are microchipped. I never realised that I have evil dogs. I'll have to send them to church to be exorcised. If that vet is so concerned over the mark of the beast, why did he microchip the dogs? Money worth more than the antiChrist? Says a lot about his convictions, moral that is, not criminal..... On second thoughts.....

So to follow Satan I first have to be a geek. I have no clue how to do this stuff. Maybe Satan should just do it for me so that I can download the reversed MP3's. There seems to be an entepreneural business opportunity here but I think only Xtians would buy the product to try to hear Satans message. The rest of us couldn't care.
