That’s “higher arithmetic” to you, please Tongue, and I don’t think there are any ordinary halfwits here, although there have, in truth, been a few extraordinary ones… Wink

I'm not sure about this stuff you been posting here 'Luthon64. I'm thinking it's not mafs or rifmetic at all and that you are really a closet numerologist.   Huh?

On the other hand, I feel so happy, 'coz I'm SPECIAL, being EXTRAORDINARY and all that!  Smiley Smiley

My closet is tetrahedral, hence the trichotomy (though four vertices, it’s three to a base, three being the first odd prime, and a factor of 12 (another being four), the number of many things).

P.S. you have a remarkable, even unique, sense of the absurd.  Thank you for that.

Amen brother! But howzabout a trinity? -

Liars for god the father.
Liars for god the son.
Liars for god the holey ghostey.
For me "god" is a generic placeholder for answers meant to hide ignorance of origins. "God" is culturally independent. "Jesus" is a placeholder for a more childish (if that is even possible) picture of the Abrahamic gods who wheel and deal in human problems. Hence the distinction.

That said, I will call in an international jihad on those who insult my own preferred deity, that great Aztec fatty Pretzlpakit!
 Wink
Pretzlpakit and Bacchus. What a pair.

Probably

1. Religion in schools (kill thought in future generations)
2. Religion in politics (slap down any form of unpatriotic thought in mainstream)

but if we're talking irritations it would have to be "SA turn to god" billboards.  I have flashbacks about my years in the Wild, Wild West (OK, not that "west", now called Limpopo Province) where every second traffic proudly sported a couple of bullet holes.

Loving it, I'm surrounded by atheists. Grin

Mine would also have to be:

1. Religion
2. Anything that looks like religion or that they try to replace religion with.

1) Willful wishthink.
2) Inherent religious segregation.

I get all the time "don't spoil a good story/my cushy world with facts", or "because I believe it, for me it's the truth/that makes it true", and so on and so forth.

The second is my personal gripe with religion. I personally don't care if you believe purple teddy bears come at night and sprinkle wish sparkles on your forehead. That's fine with me. But don't label me or push me aside because I don't.

BERNARD: I must tell you how disapointed I am in all you so called christians. It just goes sto show that all you so called GOD people are the same. Maybe it is because HE is the same and prefer certain people above thge rest. That is why I have decided to cut HIM and all christians out of my life.

So why not start a topic where you explain yourself a little better?

Or tell us your two skeptical concerns and be on topic?

1. Quack medicine, which causes so much pain and harm to so many.
2. Brainwashing and indoctrination in schools (self-explanatory).
