These posts seem to be from the same type of person as our famous David Mabus - and could even be him too.

Anyway - it's just my thoughts on these posts. Any ideas?

Nah, it seems more like an Afrikaans person with a potato smell to me ::)

I am intrigued. Is this merely an observation or is it some cultural reference I am unaware of?

Someone please tell me already. What is the deal with potatoes? It seems strange to me. If I was to associate a vegetable with Afrikaners it would be maize or something like that. I know that being referred to as a pumpkin is traditionally insulting, but why potatoes?

It could be an obscure reference to Angus Buchan (of Faith Like Potatoes fame) of whom it has been said that he has given many South African men, Afrikaans men in particular, a sense of purpose and identity with his Mighty Men initiatives.
