I have lately discovered Symphony of Sound, I recommend A wave of reason and We are all connected

And do take a listen to Greydon Square - a hiphop physics student rapper - I loved Man-made-god and 15 billion yr old boy.

cyghost's favorite character topic fired off this topic in my head.

What is your favorite musician?

Mine is Nick Cave. He often has a lot of religious themes in his songs and I think he is a Christian or some variation, his songs and lyrics kick ass e.g. the album "Murder Ballads". Just the album's title sucked me into his dark perverse mind. His fictional books are equally depraved.
I am pretty sure Nick is not a christian-Wiki quoted him saying he's not religious and that he's not a christian. From what I've read, I'd say he's agnostic. Been a fan for 20yrs Smiley

He used to be Christian, I'd say he is now a theist, non-interventionist god and all that. Tough for him break from his roots.

I guess. When I was 14 I had a music video of his from Birthday Party days: some were live recordings and others music videos as such. At the time I thought he was a satanist just due to the absolute obscurity of the content in the videos. Some of the shit was super weird. I loved it though. Guess we've all grown up since then Wink

This is such a difficult task. Trying to name ones favourite muso when you're a music lover is like trying to isolate a favourite food dish if you were a chef or food lover....
Nick Cave sure is a legend - but Queen too deserves acknowledgement, as does David Bowie and Bauhaus.
There are just too many fantastic muso's out there.

Personally, if I must pick just one, it would be my husband.

At the moment, i am having a new love for James Maynard, from Tool and A Perfect Circle.  for pure lyrical and innovative genius.
allways have been a dedicated fan of Linkin Park.  they have grown and evolved, and have kept on innovating with sound and genre.  and Mike Shinoda is a master lyricist.
Honourable mention to Korn, Metallica, Disturbed, Killers, and Lady Gaga.  I fucking love Lady Gaga.

Gotta be Randy "Don't want no short people" Newman.  And Ry Cooder (theme for Paris, Texas).  Then Led Zeppelin.
