I've always thought an ambigram would make a cool tattoo:

That IS awsome! Haven't seen anything like it before. But it will need a good couple of acres of skin to do well - a bit elaborate for a shoulder or arm methinks Undecided.

It's from one of Dan Brown's books. Supposedly an Illuminati symbol, they were awesome Grin

But that could mean that it should be worn on the chest and applied with a branding iron! Eina!

That would be more authentic. Wonder if the Catholic Church still has the originals.

Wow. Very nice. Its huge!!

Currently I can't think of anything I'd like as a tattoo.

Having a first baby next year so perhaps once I figure out a name I'll consider that  Cheesy

Cute, but still with a good dollop of chutzpah! Exquisitely done.

Codswallop.  I have a small pig on my left calf.  Had it done in Wanchai (Hong Kong) about 25 years ago.  My (now ex) wife had seahorses on her toes and wanted to have them coloured in.  She had called me a pig that morning (I can't remember why), and I had recently completed my first Cape Horn passage (oil rig tow Atlantic-Pacific) which is traditionally indicated by a tattoo of a small pig on the calf.  So while I waited for Her Majesty to have her seahorses seen to I had the pig done.  I don't recall it being painful, but I do remember being surprised by the amount of blood.
