Religion kills

My google reader just picked up a new post at www.subtleshift.blogspot.com, with a shocking description of yet another tragic loss of life due to religion. When will courts in the Western world wake up to this kind of abuse and indirect murder? I remember having Jehova's witnesses as friends when I was younger, and seem to recall that they also suffer from this (additional) delusion that medical science is from the devil. Can anyone back that up?
